Six Month Blogaversary & Giveaway

6Versary

I cannot believe I’ve been blogging for six months already. I started my blog kind of out of the blue after discovering a few that really caught my eye back in July. I wanted to delve deeper into the book community and all of its amazingness and blogging felt like the best possible way. WordPress made it so easy to quickly set up a site and start posting almost immediately. My first post, a haul, went up on August 3, 2015.

It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I’ve connected with so many wonderful individuals through Twitter and blogs, participated in plenty of chats and street teams. This community is so welcoming and wonderful even when issues do arise. It’s great to be apart of something like that. I even discover so many new books and authors now.

Since I’ve started blogging, I’m more critical when I’m reading, analyzing plot points and characters, worldbuilding and writing. I even feel like I read more, there is an urgency now even larger than before. I’m still reading for fun but now I get to share my experiences and opinions with so many other book lovers. It’s a win, win!

To celebrate the occasion and give a big THANK YOU to everyone who has followed and supported me so far, I’ve got two giveaways going on!

The first one is for one book of your choice, under $15, from Book Depository. As long as Book Depository ships to your country, you are eligible to enter.

The second giveaway is for a signed paperback copy of A Darker Shade of Magic and a set of four art cards. This one is US only.

  1. Congrats on six months blogging – I’m glad to hear you are loving it. This year I’m excited to finally visit England. I’ve never been!

Book recs? Illuminae if you haven’t gotten to it yet! I just read (review up now) The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich that is awesome – has a similar format and is a mystery/suspense YA novel.

    • Thanks so much! I miss England dearly. I studied abroad in 2009 and it was the best experience so have loads of fun! Illuminae is definitely amazing but I’ll have to look into The Dead House!
