The 2016 Love-A-Thon is a wonderful weekend event held from February 20-21 to promote positivity, kindness, friendship, and good vibes throughout the book community whether it be in blogging, booktube, bookstagram, etc. Hosted by Alexa Loves Books, The Novel Hermit, Stay Bookish & The Daily Prophecy, Love-A-Thon brings people together with fun challenges, twitter chats, blog hopping, and comment sprees. Come join the fun!
This little challenge is meant to mash up a non-bookish hobby or passion with your bookish life so I’m bringing you some of my favorite quotes about one of the things I’m most passionate about: SOCCER!
- “Through a turnstile into another and altogether more splendid life, hurtling with Conflict and yet passionate and beautiful in its Art.” – JB Priestley
- “Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.” – Bill Shankly
- “It is not just a simple game, it is a weapon of the revolution.” – Che Guevara
Also, here’s a little insight into most weekend mornings: watching soccer and reading a book. What more could I want?
So, do you have a favorite sport? When you’re not reading, what do you enjoy doing? Let me know in the comments below!
AHHHHH Earth’s End ❤

I don’t play any sport, but I love watching the All Blacks on TV. Also, does Quidditch count? 😉

Quidditch definitely counts!

I had a friend who was an amazing soccer player but I still don’t know much about the game! SO cool you love it tho. 😀 I don’t have a favourite sport but when I’m not reading, I usually do design or photography. 🙂

I wish I was better with design and photography! I think it takes more patience then I can manage though.

I enjoy watching sports. I grew up going to baseball games and college football games. So I probably watch those the most. (But the older I’ve gotten the less I watch.) When I have free time (and am not reading) I am usually spending time with my family, watching TV, or playing games.
Great post! 😀

Back in the day it was all about sports. Watching and playing. Now I’ve honed my focus. I too spend a lot of time watching television. There’s just so many amazing shows!

When I tell people dancing is my favorite sport, they look at me like I have three heads and then tell me, “Dancing’s not a sport!” It’s a physical activity where you’re moving your body for the purpose of achieving a goal, right? So, I choose dancing! I love to watch people dance different styles from two-step to hip hop, street to tango. It’s so entrancing!
When I’m not reading I enjoy watching TV or going on the Internet or drawing or writing. It really kind of varies depending on my mood.

OMG yes to dancing!!! I wish I had done more when I was younger. It’s always fascinated me and I dream of being a ballerina even now. Dancing is definitely a sport!

I’m not into sports myself, but I do enjoy watching gymnastics and swimming at the Olympics. When I’m not reading I love listening to music, so I made a playlist for one of my recent reads for my Mix & Match post 🙂

I love watching the Olympics and definitely gymnastics. I used to dream of being a gymnast when I was younger.

I’m not a very athletic person in general, but I think soccer is really cool! Did you/do you play?

I played when I was a kid through high school. Occasionally I’ll play a pick up game but I still love watching it!

Usually can’t read while watching sports. The athlete action provides too much of a distraction 😉

It depends on how invested in the game I am. I’m often yelling at the tv but if its not my team playing I can usually read.
