Top 5 Wednesday image

Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey (Gingerreadslainey on Youtube) as a way for book reviewers and lovers to share their love of lists every Wednesday. Check out the Goodreads group.

  1. Six of Crows
  2. Strange the Dreamer
  3. A Darker Shade of Magic
  4. The Girl from Everywhere
  5. The Girl who Circumnavigated Fairyland

This week’s Top 5 Wednesday is all about books that would make good video games! I’m not much of a gamer but the ones I latch onto and love to play have rich, open worlds that are meant to be explored to the fullest. That’s why I picked five fantasy titles that I would love to see in game format. Honestly I would devour anything Six of Crows related so this one’s not much of a surprise. Strange the Dreamer, though I haven’t finished it yet, provides such an exquisite world, I could spend hours upon hours diving deeper into its mysteries. Schwab’s Shades of Magic would be a phenomenal game of magic, battles, and so much more. With pirates and time travel, The Girl from Everywhere would make for outstanding open play. Plus Valente’s Fairyland series would be an animation dream with so many paths to choose from.

So, what books do you think would make good video games? What type of video games do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below!
