Hosted by A Daily Rhythm, Teaser Tuesday is a bookish meme meant to highlight passages from books you are currently reading.
Here are the rules (as described by A Daily Rhythm):
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week’s teasers come from Mackenzi Lee’s The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy, a compulsively readable YA historical fiction. I’m already about 75 pages in and loving it so I thought I’d share a few snippets to share the love.
The men all erupt into protestations and a fair number of horrified gasps. I swear one of them actually swoons at the mention of womanly bleeding.
I want to stay — I want to keep fighting. I want to be allowed to finish the points upon my list.
Do you enjoy historical fiction? Intrigued by these teasers?
