June Book Haul ~ 2018

Another month gone, another stack of books to add to my shelves. Most of the titles I picked up in June were new releases and I’ve got an excellent mix of contemporary and fantasy to show off and shout about.

First up are books that came out at the beginning of the month and I got, Bruja Born by Zoraida Cordova, Whisper of the Tide by Sarah Tolcser, Save the Date by Morgan Matson, Running with Lions by Julian Winters, and The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang.

I also picked up Part One and Part Two of The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars run and the UK edition of Madeleine Miller’s Circe (not pictured). I also received the Owlcrate exclusive edition of From Twinkle with Love by Sandhya Menon in this month’s box.

Did you acquire any books in June? Read any from this stack?

May Book Haul ~ 2018

It’s time for another monthly book haul and I got over excited at the end and bought a bunch. Of course some of them are new releases but I also purchased a few from earlier in the year.

The earlier releases include A Dash of Trouble by Anna Meriano, To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo, and The Beauty that Remains by Ashley Woodfolk. Not pictured is this month’s Owlcrate book pick, Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young. The May releases were, Furyborn by Claire Legrand, Anger is a Gift by Mark Oshiro, Legendary by Stephanie Garber, and the redesigned Vicious by Victoria Schwab.

Did you pick up any books in May? Thoughts on any of these titles?

April Book Haul ~ 2018

It’s time for another monthly book haul and it’s no surprise most of my picks were new releases. Apparently I’m on a bit of a SciFi kick though as the first three books I bought were Space Opera by Catherynne M. Valente, Lash Shot by Daniel Jose Older, and Shadow Call by Adrianne Strickland & Michael Miller. I also picked up Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli on release day as well as two eBooks from Alisha Rai; Cabin Fever and A Gentleman in the Street. March Book Haul ~ 2018

It’s time for my March Book Haul and I’m actually pretty impressed with how well I reigned in my spending with all the new releases out. First up is Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi which I actually have two copies of (one of which is signed). Next is the other March 6 release, a Target exclusive edition, The Witch Doesn’t Burn in this One by Amanda Lovelace. Also my B&N preorder of Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff arrived and my March Owlcrate came in with a special edition of Ashley Poston’s Heart of Iron (it’s got purple sprayed edges). Plus the end of the month brought two highly anticipated books, Hurts to Love You by Alisha Rai and Aru Shah and the End of Time by Roshani Chokshi. Overall an excellent little haul!

February Book Haul ~ 2018

Look at all those gorgeous books! Yep, February was a pretty solid book buying month for me and I picked up quite a few new releases as well as some backlist titles I needed for my shelf.

The first bunch were some of my highly anticipated titles as preorders of The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton, Shadowsong by S. Jae Jones, and The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang arrived.  I also couldn’t wait any longer for Sightwitch by Susan Dennard so I popped in store to buy it.

I took advantage of Barnes and Noble’s online 3 for $30 YA sale and bought Hunted by Meagan Spooner, The Defiant by Lesley Livingston, Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia, and Dear Martin by Nic Stone.

Rounding out the month I popped into B&N for Daughter of the Siren Queen by Tricia Levenseller and Blood of a Thousand Stars by Rhoda Belleza and my preorder of Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston arrived too.

Did you pick up or receive any awesome books this month?

January Book Haul ~ 2018

I’m starting 2018 with possibly my smallest book haul to date. Is this the start of something new? Let’s be real, probably not (and now I have the HSM song in my head), but I’m glad I had some self control at least for one month.

Starting with the new releases I purchased Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu, Love, Hate & Other Filters by Samira Ahmed, The Cruel Prince (Barnes & Noble Exclusive Edition) by Holly Black, and Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson. I also received another copy of The Cruel Prince in my Owlcrate with a super exclusive cover. The only other book I bought, The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black, was at my library book sale for only fifty cents.

Did you pick up any books in January? Any titles I need to put on my list?

November Book Haul ~ 2017

November was a hefty month on the buying front. With collector’s editions being released and Black Friday shopping, I knew this would make for a massive haul. I’m still waiting for a package so the stack above may look small. Don’t let it fool you.

I picked up quite a few special editions this month including the B&N A Darker Shade of Magic, the City of Bones 10th Anniversary edition, and B&N hardcover edition of The Princess Saves Herself In This One which is signed. I also grabbed some new releases in Renegades, The City of Brass, Into the Black, and The Mortal Instruments graphic novel. Plus the OwlCrate book of the month was The Glass Spare.

I managed to snag eight titles in the Book Outlet Black Friday sale. Hopefully Lost Stars, Radiance, The Girl Who Raced Fairyland All the Way Home, The Refrigerator Monologues, The Valiant, Tiger Lily, The Artifact Vault, and The Invasion of the Tearling will arrive at my house soon.

Did you pick up any books in November? Have you read any of the titles I mentioned?

October Book Haul ~ 2017

While I thought October would be a heavy haul month, it turns out I reined myself in. I ended up waiting to purchase a couple of things so I’ve only got five books this time around. Don’t worry though, I”m sure November will end up being way more.

My first purchases were The Tiger’s Daughter by K. Arsenault Rivera and 27 Hours by Tristina Wright. I read these two as ARCs and knew I needed them on my shelf. Next up was Turtles All the Way Down by John Green which I preordered pretty quickly after it’s release announcement. It’s been too long between his books but I was so happy with how this one turned out. This month’s OwlCrate book was Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore and while the whole box was fabulous this book is absolutely phenomenal. All of her books are. Last but not least is the collector’s edition of A Darker Shade of Magic by Victoria Schwab. I bought both the black and silver ones but I’m still waiting on B&N.

What books did you haul in October? Anything you would recommend me?
